Sleep Apnea, and you.

The VA said 26 to 32 percent of the Gulf War Veterans have health issues. And if you have Sleep Apnea, bring your Doctors report to a VA Service Representative and get your paperwork in for a claim. At the present time you are eligible for $879.36 per month (or more) as compensation. Sleep Apnea is a presumptive  condition, meaning you are presumed you got your sleep apnea while serving for your country in the Gulf War.  Do it now as the Presumptive time is running out in 2021. You may also find out you have other issues that you do not know about.

One of my pet peeves is when I hear a Veteran say, I don't want to start a claim, I don't need it, "Give the money to someone else". Well, the VA doesn't work that way. If you don't file a claim, you are really  hurting other Veterans and lowering the true count off how many Veterans were affected during the War. You are one Veteran, when thousands of other Veterans doing make themselves accountable, you and hurting the other Veterans who really need and the VA doesn't have the overall picture of how bad the situation is.

Also, Most Veterans who have sleep Apnea, have other issues. And you may have one or more of those other issues. And if you do not tell all about your health, you could be shorting the lives of other Veterans.

And, if your a Veteran who doesn't need the money and wants to give it to someone else, then do that. File a claim, get the money and give it to a Veterans Organization who will help Veterans in need. And then, someday when you find out you have other issues from your claim, you will be able to use that money to help yourself. This way, you help other Veterans by being counted and you help other Veterans with their needs.
